Crozes-Hermitage Rouge
Vibrant purple color with bags of black fruits on the nose. Body is medium+, with blackberry, cherry and Christmas spice flavors, allied to gentle tannins and a fresh, peppery finish. This is my go-to red when I want something rich, suave but accessible.
Famed winemaker Etienne Pochon owns this small and organic certified estate located in Crozes-Hermitage in the northern Rhône Valley. In the medieval cellars of the Château de Curson, he vinifies his estate grapes plot by plot in order to keep the specificity of each terroir.
